Darren Palmer partnered exclusively with Myer in 2017 to launch Darren Palmer home collection, offering everyday luxury in the home. The pieces range from cushions, bedlinen, bath towels and individual stand alone items, and are made to work harmoniously with everything else in the collection. The best thing about Darren Palmer’s sophisticated design is that it can easily be introduced into one’s existing home decor arrangement.
If you want to make your home a true reflection of your personality and a wonderful cocoon of wellbeing to shut out all the troubles of the world, you need to invest in that extra layer.

Whether as a splashback, used as a small feature or in large swathes on walls, mosaics are a lovely linear element that brings a contemporary edge to tiled areas.

A bedroom has a bed in it, a lounge room has a sofa plus the ubiquitous entertainment unit and TV. Dining areas, if you have one, need a table and chairs. However, if this is where you stop, you’re missing the opportunity to bring real meaning and life to a space by creating a secondary level of purpose.

With a million dollar view like this, you want to opt for a relaxed, comfortable chill-out space, placing a large comfortable couch with cushions (plenty of space for the fit), a coffee table, potted plants and various decor items that compliment the scenic view.

Spring is seen as the time of rebirth; a time of renewal and to refresh. While you’re considering a cleanout of those neglected spaces and overstuffed cupboards, now’s the time to take stock and consider an interior refresh, too.

Furniture and decor play a huge role in creating meaningful, purposeful and interesting interiors. Modular furniture allows for flexibility in size or orientation and you can always take them with you to your next home.

Add to the standard bed-plus-two-bedsides set-up with some well thought-out bedside lamps and a beautifully made bed using colour, texture, pattern and scale and you can make yourself the perfect, sultry and inviting escape.

Having an unfilled area around the furniture looks like you have the luxury of space. You’ll be surprised how much bigger your room will feel by just giving your furniture some physical and visual breathing space.

Positioning is important. Whether you’re styling a console table or a whole bedroom, keep in mind a forced perspective. Here you have the elements of a modern, elegant and sophisticated bedroom. Featured is my soft hand feel Darren Palmer Snapdragon Quilt Cover Set in dark green, made from a mixture of cotton and polyester.
It was only fitting that I added my embossed velvet outer textured finish Darren Palmer Snapdragon Cushion in both smoke rose and charcoal in my Million Dollar Room Challenge on The Block. It wasn’t just about the colour choice, but velvet is also a symbol of power and wealth thanks to its richness in tone. I wanted to ensure this was demonstrated through my design and choice of decor.
I absolutely love how they have added the vibrant floral to make this matte finish ceramic vase pop. It is a perfect combination. The clear white wall behind it with the shadow is also worth mentioning, adding depth of field and texture to the design. Featured here is the 31cm Darren Palmer Matte Ribbed Bud Vase in white. This was posted by @kilter.com.au on their Instagram account.
It is all about the richness in texture! Featured here is my Darren Palmer Hammered Effect Stoneware Deco Ball in bronze that was a part of my Million Dollar Room Challenge on The Block. It comes in two different sizes: 12.5cm and 10.5cm, and is made out of stoneware.
I was able to decorate my Million Dollar Room on The Block with a number of items from my Darren Palmer MYER collection. It was aired on September 10 on Channel 9, and it was the first time on Australian television that we have ever seen a $1,000,000 room created for a challenge, and it was a first for me!
It may have been a million dollar room, but my decor range is luxury design at an affordable price. Featured here is the Textured Stoneware Vase.

This is a repost from @13interiors that is worth sharing:
Let's talk colour....
Your colour palette should create continuity and flow whilst still allowing the rooms to be separate zones. Here's some tips for you to create at home:
- Showcase your style. This will always make your home feel 'homely'. It’s your space so make it you!
Choose three colours as your palette and style your pieces based on these.. 60/30/10 rule. - Choose a focal point for your room that will draw from one of these colours. For example a rug or piece of art.
- Often you may be so inspired by a piece of art first. If this is the case draw your colour palette from this first. Create a space you love so you never want to leave!
Did you know coral reefs cover less than 1% of the ocean but are home to almost 25% of all known marine species? If you are familiar with my Darren Palmer range from Myer, you would know how much I love my coral. Featured here are two variations of the Coral Table Piece. Available exclusively to Myer.
'This has to be my all time favourite combo with interiors and also my wardrobe. Black/white/brown/gold and grey. I don't think I will ever stop using them together regardless of trends.' We'd have to agree with @natbacicinteriors. This is a very nice combination and thank you for the feature! Featured is my Darren Palmer Mineral Champagne Tone Votives Set of 2 available exclusively to Myer.
Do you sleep with a single cushion... or seven? If you like print, then this look is for you. Featured here is my Surge Jacquard Quilt Cover Set, available now exclusively to Myer, and the wallpaper print is from @affordabledecorators.

Here @houseofcarly gets cosy with my second interior design book, HomeSPACE. I do wonder if she did this intentionally, as her surroundings matching the cover of my book. A book about interior design ends up becoming a prop for interior design Why not?

A site for sore eyes! Loving the shelf arrangement of this photo by @13interiors, featuring my Resin Circular Sculpture Black Base. It sits perfectly on the shelf layering, along with the other decor items featured.
We all know occasional tables play a functional role but they’re also a great opportunity to create a living room vignette.
Here we have a very neutral, monochrome scheme, featuring the Resin Organic Linear Sculpture, with a pop of the exotic in the form of this lovely Bird-of-Paradise flower, adding some life and colour through its incredible, natural form.

This extremely vibrant combination of blue and silver compliments natural light and the white coloured surroundings.
